“When I saw that the Parallel London allowed for wheelchair users and that you could have someone push you, I registered straight away. Many of my friends have taken part in fundraising events so it is always something I have wanted to do.”

Mum Alison will be pushing her son Bertie for the 5km. 

“Aged five, Bertie thinks it’s completely natural that he should be able to join in any sport on his own terms. In his mind, he is an Olympian. We want to keep it that way.”

Mum Jenni will be pushing Eve in her pushchair for the 5k and they will be walking hand-in-hand for the 100m.

“On one of my routes is a fairly steep hill that I call the ‘Eve Wouldn’t Quit Hill’. I always run up it at speed, because Eve never quits and neither will I.”

Mum Clair will be pushing 8-year-old Ross for the 10km.

“Ross can’t sit, walk or talk, but he loves watching rugby, being in the swimming pool and feeling the wind in his face.”
